We all know what a green thumb is. A BLACK THUMB is the converse or opposite. Some people just have a knack for making things turn out all wrong! In the U.S. military they are called sad sacks or they were branded with the GFU designation. You will have to figure out what that stands for. However, we have found with coaching and patience many who have the BLACK THUMB malady will come around and become above average dog people
About five years I became interested in long distance, precision (rifle) shooting. I went out and acquired very fine rifles in the best calibers, all with above average optics. In addition, I acquired some of the best reloading equipment available. At best I am an average shooter. However, I would be less efficient had friends not coached me. The point is everyone wears or sports a black thumb in at least one area of their life. Give a "Sad-SACK/GFU" a chance to improve. If for no other reason, the end result will improve the well being of her or his kennel. THINK OF THE DOGS! |
