This year the calls came @ the end of Winter & Not @ the height of the cold season. If your dog spends time in a dog house (& the dog is hacking) he or she may be consuming straw or hay bedding. When the weather gets really cold this is a frequent problem. Increase your dog's food/calories. Also increase exercise as this problem is sometimes caused by boredom. Should the problem continue, eliminate outside time. Provide the dog with dark local honey. Seek a Veterinarian's help!
