Last evening I had a chat with the celebrated Rifle-Smith Dan Cowen. Dan & I have a dislike for Elliot Spitzer. In my view, he is a man with a predacious appearance & lofty arrogant personality. Spitzer reminds me of a character in a Buster Crab movie called Ming the merciless. Anyway the conversation switched to David Paterson. Dan felt David Paterson & Mrs. Paterson should have admitted to their affairs prior to the governor being sworn in. I did not agree! I felt Mr. Paterson handled the entire event with (uncommon) class & sincerity. A variety of people voiced concerns about our Governor failing to pass the Bar exam. To this I say so what !! "If I had my druthers you would need a 12th grade education, two calloused hands & dirt under your finger nails to run for political office". Dan Cowen concurred with this notion! Our new Governor has a wonderful sense of humor & a pleasant personality. We need to give him a chance. Dan Cowen wrote a series of articles for the prestigous rifle
periodical "Precision Shooting". Dan was a Marine Sniper in Viet Nam.
Dan Cowen has competed in long range shooting events on a national
