The chicken's egg is a near perfect food for the Canid. Dog conditioners have utilized the egg for well over 100 years. The egg provides high quality protein @ a reasonable price. For those that feed raw flesh foods the egg is a good alternative to beef. Hard or soft boiled, scrambled, sunny side or raw, it is difficult to beat the hen's egg.

When going over old notes I rediscovered a little tid-bit about the near perfect egg.... Avidin is found in egg whites, it is said to be an anti vitamin. It is also said to inhibit biotin activity. The yolk however, is a rich source of biotin. This certainly suggests the nutritional balance of the egg !

On average I consume 6 egg whites per day. Predicated on my blood work, I am not biotin deficient. However, I take a multiple vitamin each day, which may make a difference. Bottom line feed whole eggs to your dogs.
