My first essay on cloning had concerned some of my readers. Sometimes provoking concern is a healthy thing. My feelings have not as yet changed. Nothing I have read or listened to has (in my mind) negated the upside potential of this procedure. However, do not confuse my animation and zeal with innocence or foolishness. I am well aware of how bureaucrats can mess up something (absolutely) wonderful. Certainly we must not suppress thought or brilliance.

Some would claim that cloning is playing G-D. To that I would say consider the following: transfusions, organ transplants, anesthesia, plastic surgery, invitro fertilization And test tube births. Cloning must and should be used to reduce suffering as in the following procedures: organ cloning, the cloning of a limb or possibly used as a remedy for childless couples etc. In the case dogs and general livestock cloning is a panacea for a multitude of health problems.

I have also been told that my essay had a strong Nazi odor. I don't agree with this description either. The national socialist party was preoccupied with "PURITY". Purity of an unreasonable magnitude! This obsession caused some of Europe's most gifted scientists and investment bankers, etc., to flee. In addition, the Nazi party killed people that had emotional disorders, chronic health problems as well as non-German blood. This preoccupation with purity proved to be a serious distraction and probably harmed their military effectiveness. I fail to see any similarity between my essay(on cloning)and the national socialist party. I also fail to understand the difference between playing G-D and doing G-D's work. It would appear (to me) that often times they are synonymous!!!

Special thanks to Cathy Dwan and "POCKETS" for helping me with the second segment of this essay...To be continued!!!
