Fifty four years ago to the day, I watched Roger Banister run a 4 minute mile. It was on an 8 inch RCA T.V. housed in a large, beautifully finished real wood cabinet. (Not plastic junk) At that time my family lived in a 6 family house. The house was down the road from Ebbets field. Several times per week the neighbors would bring lots of food & snacks.We would watch Rin Tin Tin, Lassie & Flash Gordon, I love Lucie, Father Knows Best, Milton Berle etc. In those days you had one 30 second commercial, not like the 6 or more we have currently. "IMPORTANT NEWS FLASH"I just read that PETA is demanding radical reforms within the sport of horse racing. They claim 1.8 million Peta members are enraged. I too am enraged ! That PETA people do not appreciate the fact that "Eight Belles" demonstrated a deeply game performance. She could have slowed & perhaps remained uninjured but she was not satisfied with 2nd place. She wanted to beat the boys! I am also enraged that Peta has repeatedly proved to be complete farse. "Pretending to care about animals." A top PETA farceur, Kathy Guilermo is attacking "Saez the jockey" as well as "Eight Belles" and the entire sport of racing. In truth, "Eight Belles"did not die in vain. Great race horses must be warriors! "Eight Belles died a warriors death, leaving this world with her dignity & honor." Her legacy lives on! Perhaps a repeat breeding is possible, perhaps multiple breedings. In addition, Peta continues to receive unfair tax advantages. Why should PETA enjoy beneficial tax treatment when they are bent on destroying our American way of life? It is outrageous that PETA has a government subsidy,while killing thousands of innocent dogs,cats & horses each year. I have been told PETA is against hunting,sled dog racing, rodeos, weight pulling, canine agility events etc. Peta is against most of the things I respect, love & enjoy. "PISS ON PETA" |
