Last evening, on channel 2 news, we were told people were surrendering their dogs to shelters due to the economy. With Wall Street in bear market territory & gas prices approaching $4.50 per gallon, many people are allegedly bringing their dogs to shelters for adoption.

You do not have to buy kibble to feed your dogs. Stale dark breads or Whole Wheat or Pumpernickel bagels are excellent. This integrated with eggs, or whole milk (or powderd) will supply calories & provide dogs with most nutrients. It is best to heat & stir these foods into a mish-mosh before serving. Food scraps may also be served, even when several day old. A few human grade multiple vitamins (per week) won't harm a dog even if they are (recently) expired.

Most bakeries won't charge for stale bread, if they do, it will be a minimal charge. For additional information, call 516 671 9600.  Ask for Marty or Al.   Do not be shy! We want to help!
