The folowing information is the opinion of IAN BILLLINGHURST, Australian Veterinarian & author . I have found several questionable claims in both of his original books. However, the claims that follow are valid in our view. The claims are approximate quotes.

Page22, In the book, Grow Your Dogs With Bones. Hip Dysplasia in larger breeds may be nagatively impacted by excessive protein levels. Page 276, Calcium may be urinated out when levels of protein are excessive.

All you folks selling or using 40% protein foods are going against nature, Perhaps you should rethink your feeding programs. In my view modest protein levels give the breeder more puppies with more substance & vitality. Staying within the parameters of animals like Bison @ 21.7% or Jack Rabbit @ 21.9% is the appropriate way to feed your dogs.
