The following is a sampling of OFA findings. These findings are based on decades of k9  hip Xrays. Specific breeds & percentages of hip dysplasia are as follows:  Dogue De Bordeaux 55.8%, Neapolitan 48.2%, Dogo 40%, Presa Canario 30.7, APBT 23.7%, The German Shepherd Dog 19.1% Beagle 18.6% Black & Tan Coon Hound 15.5% & the Staffi 17.4%.

Assuming these precentages are valid, after all, this info was taken off the internet. I rarely trust the internet, as it pertains to factual accuracy.

Here is some food for thought. I have hunted with Black & Tan Coon Hounds & they are capable of running 50 plus miles in one day, without a limp or a hop. So one needs to ask what is more important, the dogs true performance or the academic findings. Fifteen percent hip dysplasia is in my view, high for a running dog. Oh, what about the beagle @ 18.6%.
