The miniature Dachshund is perhaps Germany's greatest k9 accomplishment. The dog's genetic engineering is in my view extremely impressive. Their drives, courage & affection are off the charts. Yesterday an old friend, Pat Dimichele showed us his new puppy. A delicious chocolate, bitch puppy. If you have read my other writings on these dogs you know they are also called Tekels .This little girl put new life in Savanna, my old pit bull bitch. The Tekel jumped on Savanna's bed & layed down next to her & was content to nap. Before you could blink an eye the old girl was grooming the Tekel. Next they were swapping holds & having a wonderful time. They cuddled & rolled around on the bed & when seperated could not take their eyes off each other. Savanna was so loving & gentle with the pup! It was lovely to witness. Violet, if your reading this report, I suggest you get a Tekel to complete your pack. |
