| In reading an ingredient list, one should never think that the ingredients listed are pure or whole. It is our opinion that dog food companies should use the term derived from. For example, if a dog food company listed chicken as a first ingredient and you looked in the bag, chicken would not be visible. The reason being the first ingredient is derived from chicken and the labeling of bags in our opinion should clearly state DERIVED FROM. |
