In the November issue of Play Boy Magazine, the celebrated prize fighter Pacquiao was attacked invidiously. The attack was prompted for admitting he enjoyed Rooster or Cock Fighting. A sport native to his home land in the Philippines. Well, I have said it before & I will say it again. I see nothing wrong with chickens wanting to fight. Greg Doyle, A CBS Sports writer, wants to boycott Pacquiao, for his opinion & his culture . Doyle needs to visit slaughter houses. It is only after one hears & smells death is one qualified to cast or direct guilt. One should remain mute, until he or she views the living conditions & the cramped crates used in America's Poultry industry. In my view, a chicken is one step up from a plant. It can run around for several minutes with out its head. It has a brain as big as a BB. In addition,I have been told, less than 1% of the worlds chickens are fought. This is far & away not Bull Fighting, or the cruelty that has become part of dog fighting. Do not compare Pacquiao with the likes of Michael Vick. Who in my view, is clearly guilty of cruelty to dogs & should still be in prison. Some of Vick's victims have been rehabilitated & are model K9 citizens.Sadly more could not be saved. If CBS really cares about animals, they need to look @ Peta & their twisted treatment of animals. They need to look @ Americas treatment of Swine. They need to recognize the fact that a Pig is extremely smart, perhaps smarter than a Canid. When taken to slaughter, Pigs are quite aware of what is going on & what is about to happen to them. In Closing, I should state," I love hunting, Rodeos, Sled Dog Racing & if Chicken fights were on TV I would consider watching a match, unless Mixed Martial Arts was on @ the same time."Essay in progress! |
