First and foremost, we believe WDJ has a proper and important agenda. Having said this, we feel if a company is in the food analysis business they should be qualified to, at least, superficially test food. With the use of independent labs and a small kennel, their credibility, at a least in our eyes, would approach an acceptable level.

It is easy to verbally snipe and criticized the perceived shortfalls and efforts of others. However, when the critics lack the resources to do a job properly, they need to find another line of work. WDJ claims reading labels is not rocket science. This is an accurate statement based on the method WDJ uses.

We feel the WDJ concept fills an important industry void. However, the job must be done with investigative science, eliminating any and all specious proclivity. After all, judging a book by its cover has minimal worth and may for obvious reasons be harmful to your pet.

We suggest if you have questions regarding a food, request a laboratory report from the manufacturer. Better yet, spend a few dollars and submit your own dog food specimen to an independent laboratory of your choice. In doing this you will avoid personal analysis and conjecture. Your laboratory report will reflect true nutritional values, minus trendy minutia.
