If we follow the tracks of America's great Wolves, we can learn a great deal about our dogs. Much of the information found would impact feeding & exercise. Recently, I wrote an article that was prompted by a conversation with Bob Melville. It appears wolves are killing Elk Cows for their milk & just their milk.Several people that read my stuff, commented that this finding, assuming Bobs sources are accurate makes for a very strong argument in favor of feeding dairy to Canids. We have touted the benefits of Butter Milk, Yogurt, Cottage Cheese etc. for decades. If it's good enough for the Wolf, it's approriate for real dogs. The Wolf & Coyotte eat a variety of foods & so should your dog. This can be proven by stomach content studies. For additional info. read Young & Goldman. |
